Solution Design & Key Account Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain professional to take ownership of a global client vertical within a fast growing logistics business.
You'll be responsible for the operational performance, commercial success and ongoing development of a portfolio of major international clients, ensuring service excellence across a global network. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll oversee key accounts, lead a specialist operations team and continuously improve processes, profitability and customer satisfaction.
This is a strategic role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex operational challenges and building long term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of a global customer vertical, acting as the primary point of contact for operational and commercial matters
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring service levels consistently exceed expectations
• Lead a specialist Control Tower operation, ensuring workloads, resources and service delivery remain aligned with customer requirements
• Manage onboarding of new customer implementations following the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition into operations
• Monitor operational performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement where required
• Ensure processes remain compliant with internal procedures and customer requirements across all locations
• Support pricing decisions, margin analysis and commercial reviews alongside senior leadership
• Take ownership of billing accuracy, resolving any discrepancies quickly and efficiently
• Develop and improve operational processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance customer experience
• Produce regular operational and commercial reporting for both customers and internal stakeholders
• Coach, mentor and develop members of the operational team, promoting high performance and accountability
About You
We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain professional who enjoys taking ownership and building strong customer relationships.
You'll ideally have:
• End to end Supply Chain Management experience
• Experience managing key accounts within a complex logistics environment
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of profitability, pricing and billing
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• The ability to solve problems independently and make informed commercial decisions
• Experience improving operational processes and driving continuous improvement
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing or developing operational teams
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working with ERP, WMS or other operational management systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
