Projects Forwarding Clerk
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Projects Assistant to support project operations across the UK and Ireland. The role involves overseeing a variety of tasks, including documentation management, customs clearance preparation, container transport logistics, unpacking operations, storage solutions, and full truckload (FTL) transportation.
In addition to supporting large-scale projects, the Projects Assistant will manage FTL imports from the EU into the UK, coordinate cargo storage with third-party warehouses, and address ad hoc import and clearance requirements on behalf of clients.
The successful candidate will be adept at handling high volumes of container shipments and bookings, working quickly and accurately to ensure quality standards are maintained. As projects often involve international partners, flexibility is important, with occasional monitoring of communications required outside of standard UK working hours.
The role will also include preparing customer quotations, with a focus on optimising cost margins relative to project size to support competitiveness. Strong communication and timely responses will be key to maximising opportunities for the business.
