JOB SUMMARY
An opportunity for an experienced Export Coordinator to join a fast-paced logistics operation. The role involves managing the end-to-end export process for shipments from the UK and Channel Islands to international destinations, ensuring efficient coordination, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service throughout.
Candidates should have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to the full export cycle from quotation through to job completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor export shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Liaise with clients and overseas agents to confirm shipment details, including collection times, routing, and delivery requirements
- Prepare and review export documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB), packing lists, and commercial invoices
- Arrange transportation via approved hauliers or internal fleet, ensuring timely collections and deliveries
- Work closely with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution
- Identify and implement the most efficient and cost-effective transport solutions
- Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations, with a focus on pharmaceutical and regulated goods
- Liaise with relevant authorities and third parties to secure export permits and documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all export activities, including shipment tracking and reporting on performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with HMRC export regulations and licensing requirements
- Stay up to date with changes in international trade laws and industry regulations
- Proactively resolve shipment issues, including delays, customs queries, and discrepancies
- Monitor and ensure correct handling of time-critical and temperature-controlled shipments across all stages of transit
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in an export/logistics role within a similar environment
- Strong understanding of export processes from quotation to completion
- Knowledge of export documentation and international shipping procedures
- Familiarity with HMRC regulations and customs compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive shipments
- Experience handling temperature-controlled or pharmaceutical shipments (desirable)
